Chances are, if you find knitting stuff on line, you know about this, but if you haven't discovered Ravelry.com, you might want to check it out. It is kind of like facebook for knitters (plenty of crochet happens there too!), but much much more useful. With your free account, you can keep a project journal, needle and hook inventory, check out other projects on the same pattern or yarn, find new patterns (lots of free patterns, but beware- not all patterns are edited!), swap yarn or find the one ball you are needing... join groups, find knitting stores and so on....
